Senior PDP leader and Member Parliament Muzzafar Hussain Baig Wednesday asked Hurriyat leaders to come forwards for the talks and realise that Pakistan cannot help them at this hour of need when most of them have been arrested by NIA. “Several Hurriyat leaders are under NIA custody. I pray to God that all of them are acquitted of all the charges. But I hope the Hurriyat leaders must have realised now and understood the situation that Pakistan can’t help out them now and it is only the Indian courts who can deliver justice for them,” he said at a function in Tangmarg area of north Kashmir, as per KNS correspondent. Baig said Hurriyat should come forward for the talks as this time he also sees a hope in the newly appointed interlocutor by New Delhi, as this time the interlocutor has been given full authority which was not seen in previous interlocutors. “The hopelessness is still there, but I see a hope this time,” he said. He said the Hurriyat leaders should now save the Article like 35-A and Article 370 and be part of the dialogue process as Pakistan can’t help now. “Whatever is left should be saved. We have some articles to defend and I think Hurriyat should understand it,” he said. Baig said the Self-Rule document of his party (PDP) should be looked into and can be taken as a roadmap for the way forward. (KNS)
